How can I create MP3 files from a YouTube video?
YouTube is the most popular medium for listening and watching our favorite videos, especially the ubiquitous music video. Laptops and PCs are great for this, but we sometimes want to download them to a smaller device such as a smartphone or tablet. One of the biggest restrictions to doing this is the size of the file. The solution to this comes in the form of the MP3 which can shrink or compress these files so that they take limited space on your device. To make this process simple and easy, we have created 4 steps to make your life much easier. Please take note that the conversion to MP3 uses the convert2mp3 tool. Fortunately, most other converter tools act in the same way.
Step One: If there is a video that you enjoy, all you need to do is copy the URL for that video. If you’d like, you can just “right-click” on this video then select the “copy video URL”. I’m confident that these two steps are very familiar to the average person.
Step Two: There are many online converter tools available, so be sure to use the one you’re most comfortable. After you have “copied” the URL, “paste” it to the suitable text box. After you have done this, click on the word “convert”.
To search for you favorite videos without going to the YouTube page, all you need to do is to go to your converter tool and in the “search” box add your title. Other options include selecting your preferred format other than MP3. These include, but are not limited to MP4, MVI and AVI.
Step Three: Adding tags is optional, although can be advantageous. Under the “advanced tags” you can name the video using album, title, artist or other preferable descriptions. These tags can be used as the “cover” to keep track of the videos. This step can also be skipped by clicking the “continue” button or “skip this page”.
Step Four: Download your MP3 file. Just click the “download” button and this will download your MP3 file to your device. To continue doing this for the next videos just click the “convert next video”. To save you video, click the “drop box” button. Sharing your videos on social media sites can be done as well.
Legal questions do come up regarding the downloading of these videos, although to this date, there has not been much activity. YouTube terms of service explicitly state that copying, reproducing, transmitting, displaying, selling, etc. are forbidden. But the chances of YouTube coming after individuals is rare at best and almost non-existent. If they were to pursue someone violating their terms, it would be a large group or company, in which they could make a statement regarding violations or impose a huge fine.
